How does it work?

Step 1: Calculate your budget

You determine up to 5% of your company’s previous year’s gross salaries – that’s your tax-free well-being budget.

Step 2: Choose wellness categories

Select from approved categories like gyms, SPA, active recreation, and more. All aligned with the SRS guidelines.

Step 3: Stebby generates codes

We create unique, equal-value codes for every employee. These are delivered either by you or directly from us.

Step 4: Employees redeem codes

Employees choose and purchase services via Stebby’s app or website. Fully anonymously, no receipts needed.

Step 5: You only pay for what’s used

Unused codes cost nothing. You only pay for services that were actually booked and enjoyed.

1. How much can my company spend tax-free?
Up to 5% of last year’s total gross salary fund, as allowed by the Corporate Income Tax law in Latvia.
2. What types of services are allowed under SusTax?
Only wellness-related services that promote employee well-being and team-building, such as:
  • Fitness and sports activities
  • Active recreation
  • Mental and physical health services

These are pre-approved within the Stebby platform.

3. Can I give different amounts to different employees?
No. SusTax requires that all employees be treated equally (same amount, same service categories, same conditions).
4. Will I know how each employee spends their benefit?
No. To comply with legal guidelines, employee usage is anonymous. You’ll only see overall usage stats (e.g., categories used).
5. What if an employee doesn’t use their code?
You only pay for used codes. Unused ones cost nothing, making this a risk-free investment.
6. Can employees add their own money if the code value isn’t enough?
Yes, employees can top up if they wish to access a more expensive service.
7. Can I limit what services are available to employees?
Yes. You can choose which Stebby categories are visible and accessible under the SusTax benefit.
8. How are codes delivered?
Two options:
  • We send all codes to your HR contact to distribute internally.
  • We send them directly to each employee via email.
9. Do I need to submit any paperwork?
No paperwork or receipts needed. Stebby handles administration and reporting.
10. Do I need to inform my employees?
Yes. SRS requires that companies publicly communicate internally that the benefit exists and is equally accessible.
11. Can I try it before committing?
Yes! You can start with a pilot project (one quarter or even one month). That way, you test the setup and see employee interest without a full-year commitment.
12. How fast can we start?
You can go live in 2–3 business days after confirming your categories and budget. We make setup easy, so no IT work is needed on your side.
13. Is this only for large companies?
